On Bones, they skipped past all the good stuff with their relationship. One episode they're not together and then surprise they hooked up in Offscreenville and we missed it all. Joke's on the audience! Then, we have to skip months ahead to when their relationship is established and they are living together. Then, as if all that wasn't bad enough, they finally get engaged and it "sticks" and two eps later the get married. So once again, we didn't get to enjoy them as an engaged couple. There were so many interesting things they could have done with the engagement and they skipped past it all. I feel robbed when it comes to Bones. I invested all those years in the ship, only to have the good parts kept from me. It's frustrating, maddening, and disappointing. I still watch Bones without missing an ep, though.
But with Castle, they are taking their time with each step in the progression of their relationship. Unlike Bones, this relationship is satisfying to the viewers. Just my two cents.
