Numi carefully settles herself between Akar and Arukit, giving them both a quick nod in greeting, and another one is bobbed to Phoemrut. Accepted that easily? Mind whirling with the implications of her sudden place as a student, the lithe black forces her body to release tensions and listen to Atumi. She absorbs every word, eyes sparkling with wonder and eagerness to do this. Her rival had known how to telepath and had made much of the fact that Numi could not. Therefore the contact between minds is not at all unfamiliar to the black, who musters her willpower and sends a shaky but audible reply to Atumi: I hear and reply, mri'qua. The connection breaks, and she cocks her head curiously around at her peers, wondering just how adept they are at this technique already. Knowing that Akar and Phoemrut are to be speaking with each other, she attempts to reach out and connect with Arukit, wanting to see if she can establish a link on her own. After a moment of effort, something of a connection is made and she thinks strongly at the other femme, hoping she can be heard: Can you hear me? This is Numi, she adds, feeling somewhat awkward and this emotion passing into her mindvoice as she continues. I just wanted to see if I could do it on my own.
