I also have a 582 Pulsar - G-CHEX - a taildragger. But I'm still awaiting a permit to test fly.

The XP I'm building was Kevin Widdowson's kit, and I'm just about to get started on it, so just thinking ahead.

Do you know if there is an approved mod to put the rear spar connection into double shear, rather than single shear. That way, it might be accepted to use a pip-pin instead of a bolt to secure the rear spar. That would save a little time.
