Installation of two additional ribs in each flap. Each one either side of the flap actuating clevis. At the trailing edge the ribs should be adjacent to the centreline of the clevis. At the leading edge of the flap the ribs are set wider so to form a triangle. You will need to fabricate four ribs to fit inside the flaps. Its a bit fiddly as you will have to poke them into position from the end if you have already made yours, but much easier if you haven't rivetted them together yet. I used a couple of sticks with plasticene blobs on the end to position the ribs in the flap for riveting.

The objective is to provide structure to transfer the control loads to the lower skin and leading sdge of the flap, rather than relying solely on the upper flap skin to react all loads applied.

I'll try and hook out the original wording, I'm sure Alan has it all in his extensive records.
