Taking off from Kemble airfield one damp afternoon, and rain showers were about to arrive, I had gotten to about 100ft AGL when the inside of my canopy fogged over!! (it had never happened before, or since). I was heading west. With my hand, I wiped the port side of my canopy. By good fortune I was about to tracked over a railway line. I turned south and followed it to Swindon. By this time the canopy had cleared. From swindon I picked up the GWR line and flew east at low level past Didcot to my home base of White Waltham. Not a very nice experience. It can most certainly sharpen your thinking.
