I guess you have tried new plugs?

RF noise is a bit of a black art. No two systems perform the same -even if all the bits are identical. But the difference in price is such that its worth buying the cheap stuff and trying it to see if it does work on your plane. At worse you will have lost £10.

My preference would be to use copper cored cable (lots of people sell this on Ebay), non-resistor plug caps and resistor type plugs, as this should result in maximum reliability (although perhaps not minimum noise). If the setup does give a bit of radio noise you could try putting clip-on suppressors around each the plug lead.

Even of the cheap stuff does cause RF noise at least it will tell you whether (or not) the old leads are the cause of your misfiring.
