Date Posted: Wed, Apr 03 2013, 19:11:42 GMT In reply to: Captain Pulsar 's message, "D-Motor" on Mon, Apr 01 2013, 22:37:50 GMT I absolutely agree with you - 4 stroke, low revving, direct drive with no rattly gearbox, 50% more power (and a wide flat torque curve so you can both fly fast and get airborne). I even had my name down for one of the first 10 off engines. Both Rotax and Jabiru have had the foresight to provide a bed mounting option for their various engines. Nothing clever, just a couple of bosses/holes at the prop end of the crankcase that are strong enough to take the weight and thrust. D-Motor have decided not to offer this option. But if enough Pulsar / 582 owners were to email D-Motor explaining why their aircaft can only accept bed mountings perhaps they will re-visit that decision - the design effort would be minimal and the extra production costs a few pence. contact details are: http://www.d-motor.eu/nl/contact-7.htm I live in hope Bob [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
