My local airstrip (Stoke Golding 19 miles N of Coventry) is having its annual fly-in (The Stakeout) on 20th-21st July, and all aviators (and non flying enthusiasts) are very welcome to attend. There is free overnight camping available so that visitors can enjoy the Saturday evening entertainment and have a drink or two... or three or four. Its a very informal, lay-back friendly event, with plenty of things going on, aerobatic displays, food etc etc. The strip is really well maintained with very low hedges and no obstacles (trees) on the approaches. Details and PPR are available on www.stokegoldingairfield.co.uk Let me know if you intend to visit ( 07926 055 027) so we can perhaps meet up.

On the same subject I’ve reposted the following message by Rob Freestone in case anyone missed it.

---------
“Thanks to Tony and Alan for organising a great day out. The weather was just right, the exquisitely cooked burgers, hardly any headwind on the way back, warm dry and sunny all day. Marvellous. A cracking day out and nice to meet up with Pulsators old and new.

Perhaps, if the summer is going to play ball at last, we could have another one. I'd be happy to host it, or perhaps a group fly out to the Isle of Wight for a day on the beach at Sandown?

Where were all the other Pulsars?”
-------
Sandown is good for me (Bob P) – or one of the free landings in the LAA mag. There is a free landing at Oaksey Park (near Kemble) this month (July 2013).
