Date Posted: Wed, Oct 09 2013, 11:31:01 GMT In reply to: BobP 's message, "Goodwood" on Fri, Oct 04 2013, 18:58:08 GMT I phoned Goodwood for a time slot on Saturday - the earliest they had was 15:00 local. I took off but the cloud base was lowish and the visibility not too good so I decided to abandon the trip. On Monday I flew to Pounds Green (LAA free landing for October). Its a nice easy strip and easy to spot after doing a Google satelite view search. Joining instructions in my AFE book sound complex but its simple in pactice: spot from cruising height then join and descend on a long straight final approach on 16 or 34 runway. Apart from having to jumper lead-start my engine to get home (see separate listing) all was fine. BobP [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
