I was and still am really enthusiastic about the idea of fitting a D Motor instead of my Rotax 582. But (unless things have changed) D-Motor does not offer a bed mounting for their engine (seems a big pity as it would have been so easy to incorporate a front fitting lug into their all new design). I suppose a rear mount to bed adaptor could be designed and made but this adds weight and cost and probably years of hassle with LAA to get it approved.

Also some engine maintenance eg tappet checking/adjustment requires access from underneath the engine, so some maintenance operations will require the engine to be lifted.
