Thanks Croz, all makes sense.

I asked the question because I heard of one Pulsar 582 engine stopping after one of the radiator spigots fatigued off. I wasn't sure if other Pulsars had suffered the same problem.

To minimize stress on my radiators all my hoses are now silicon (more flexible), and the hose from the head to the radiator now has a moulded 45 degree bend so it aligns with the radiator spigot (removes side stress on the spigot).

So far no problems but I do regularly check the jubilee clips as I'm told the slippiness of silicon makes the hoses more prone to slipping off.

Cheers

Bob
