All mogas when tested showed the presence of Ethanol, in varying degrees. Apparently, the 'super unleaded' does not have ethanol in it, but that's not approved by the LAA either. Short of using Avgas exclusively, which is not practical for me and causes its own problems with plug fouling, I guess we have little option than to adapt our systems to accomodate ethanol. As a minority activity, what else can we do? The fuel companies will give us what they want to provide. It's a worry, but I'm monitoring my fuel system closely, no ill effects have manifested themseves as yet. All my fuel pipes are Gates aircraft type, and i#ve had a good look inside the tank as far as is possible and can't see any ill effects so far. Its a tough one!!!
