The best way is to play games. I know it sounds tough, but I'm serious. Don't fall for anything that asks your pass word or e-mail, those are all scams. they will take your acount and change the password and e-mail. also don't click on any links, they go to anothers referal page. If you sign up on someones referal page, then they get neopoints.

My brother, 2sydstop, has over 1 million neopoints and he hasn't done anything like scams, or referred people. I also avise strongly against becoming a scammer because neopets 99.9% of the time someone reports a scammer and neopets freezes them so they can't play anymore. Also remember that neopets is a *game* it is not the most important thing in the world. In december the advent calender on happy valley is open. go once a day during that month and I guarentee at least 1 neopoint/1 item. It is a free givaway. SAVE THE ITEMS IN YOUR SAFTY DEPOSIT BOX. Wait roughly 2 months and then put the items in your shop. look up what a decent price would be on the shop wizard and sell the item youre looking up for 10-5 neopoints under the lowest price. My shop makes about half of my point income. Keep it well stocked. Codestones are very profitable. Set yourself small goals. like "My next goal is to by a bed for my neohome"

You can also make money off of the cooking pot. A bottle of sand costs roughly 10 NP. Buy many bottles of blue sand and mayny bottles of green sand. Keep them in your items. Go to the cooking pot on mystery island and put 1 bottle of each color in. When youre finished you should have a bottle of sand with the 2 colors inside. It should sell for about 50 NP. Experiment with other colors of sand. Stay away from bottles of invisible, rainbow and glowing sand. As far as i know they are useless.
