I did some checking and the presure valve will work with the R12 and R134a refrigerants, so thats not an issue. It maybe that your system is a little low, with the system pumping away take a look at the sight glass and watch for bubbles.

Is this a system you just had fixed and disapointed in or has it been running for awhile and just getting less cool??
