[> Great Search Words -- Admin, 21:21:38 04/29/13 Mon [1]

Let's consider the best search words available.

Maybe, the best search term is "Old Art".

another great one is "Mercury Statue".

My personal favorite is "lady liberty old art"

it's important to decipher the difference between "Lady Liberty" and the Statue of Liberty.
Obviously, the Lady Liberty theme will give alot more variety.

Aside from searching according to Artists,
I also enjoy looking based upon themes.

Also, searches can vary.

"cupid and psyche sculpture"
"cupid and psyche pictures"

or "cupid and venus"

I especially love linking to the wikipedia pages,
mainly because they rarely remove pictures.
SO, you can be confident they'll stay forever.

However, I don't approve of the bias on Wikipedia.
SO, I'm also searching for other reliable websites.
Perhaps, this seems to fit the requirements.
http://www.wikipaintings.org/en/lorenzo-lotto/venus-and-cupid
but inevitably, they're sourced to wikipedia.
and wikipaintings does have the lower res painting.
While, I had to use the search engine to acquire the better pictures.
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Lorenzo_Lotto

this is a subsidiary of Wikipedia.
And they've always had the best quality paintings imaginable.

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
I've noticed that Wikepedia Commons has changed its name to Wikimedia.
So apparently, I haven't visited that site for a while.

Now, did you visit the Lorenzo Lotto page?
Isn't that amazing? Just one artist, and all those majestic paintings.
Have you ever heard of this artist?
Do you know how many others you've never heard of?
That's The Glory of Western Art.
