Tami---I hope that you can use this review.....Thanks to all that voiced your ideas about Matt....I am still shaking my head and a bit upset about the experience that i had!
Pros:
*Excellent crowd....probably 1500-2000 people but they were really into it! As a matter of fact, Mike asked the crowd if he could take us with him!
*Best stage presence/energy since the 80's.....I have seen the boys 6 times since the 80s and i must tell you that this was the best.....Paul was excellent as he moved like a 30 year old man and gave me a thumbs up! Doug was great, kinda had a grin like he was really into it! Mike---well, he has lost a lot of weight---not that i am concerned about this as people are way to hard on him---now all he needs to do (in my opinion) is stop smoking to protect his health/voice but this i just my opinion...anyway he came out wearing a headband (like the old days) and was moving around the stage like he was moving when i saw the boys play at the Oregone Jam in 1984....
*They were really close on stage....having fun.....Perhaps Scotts death has brought them closer together?
*The energy was there......They need another shot (new album)...Folks, this is the bands last chance and we need to support them!
Cons: Something was terribly wrong w/the sound and it messed up the concert...Barely hear Mikes Voice over the guitars!
I will get another chance to see the boys at the Aug 2nd concert at the Benton County Fair in Corvallis Oregon....If anyone can give me a clue as to actually have a conversation w/the lads after the show i would apperciate it! Many of you have suggested that i just wait after the concert but it did not work this time....I am a marketing professor at a local college and my child-hood dream has been to actually speak to the boys...But sometimes i wonder that many females have access over the boys....I do indeed have a family of my own and it would be great to meet my fav band since 1981...:)
