Subject: Sunny,Ben and Colt Author: Tara [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 15:14:39 05/28/01 Mon Sunny-I mount Sunny and warm her up.I then trot her to the arena and I set a course up.I do the course twice so perfect then I set a different course and do that twice.I then set some high jumps up in a line and I gallop over them.I do it 3 more times then I pack them away.I trot her out to the fields and we gallop along there.After she was a bit tired I stop her and give her a nice cold drink at the river then I canter her up the hills and to the other side where it was deserty and I practiced rearing,side steping and rounding up cows there.It was fun rounding up so I did more of it.Side step would take a bit but Sunny reared twice for me.I then canter her back over to green grass in the ring.I then walk her around the ring for a cool out then I dismount and tie her to the fence again.She sniffs the others noses and neighs.I laugh then I walk over to Ben. Ben-I un tie Ben and tell him I am coming up.I spring into the saddle them I trot him to the dressage ring.I look at the letters then I set my course.I do it twice then I do a different one.I then make Ben prance around in there.he liked that then we went out on a trail ride up the mountains.When we got to the top it was yellow grass then bush.we explored the bush then came out the other end and went back down hill and then I went and did some hunter.Ben didn't like jumping so I am not going to do it.But I am going to so some small ones.I go into the arena and I set some 1 foot high jumps up and I trot him over them.He clears them and we do it again then he refuses.I decide to to push him into it so I trot him over to the river for a drink then we walk back to the ring and I cool him out and dismount.I tie him up at the fence and I walk over to Colt. Colt-He is a execellent cross country horse so I mount and warm him up then I canter him over to the cross country fields and I do the course 3 times.He did it quite perfectly but not quite.I do it again and fix the mistake then I go to the cross country course 2.I do that until it was done perfect which took me 4 times.Colt seemed a little tired so I trotted him over to the river and I gave him a drink then I walk him to the outdoor ring and I did some hunter for 15 mins.After 15 mins was up I walk him into the ring and I cooled him out and tied him to the fence then I grabbed all my other horses and we headed back to the barn.
