This book was one of my favourite books. In this book, the Indains came to the Nashua River and built things and they only used what they needed. When they had to kill an animal
they asked it to please forigive him.One day a white man came to the river with things like cloth, weapons, tools & other things.the Indains liked the things he brought so they traded items.Over the years the white people mooved to the river and took it over and did what ever they wanted to do.The white people butted the Natives out and they built houses and mills, and other things for there inviorment. Then the river became very poluted and the mills dumped there wasts into the river. They cut down all the trees and now the river is all a big dump site. Everything is smelling of polution.then there is a dream and the indains tell the people what is happening and then the white people will never ruin the river agin.My fav part is when they restore the river to a healthy one.
