This Tutorial page has left-out an important element of CSS.

Here's what we've already established:
When you place your cursor over the CSS Box, the entire box can change colors. This is also known as "HOVER".

BUT, the color of text can also be altered, as well.
SO, it would look something like this:
.thid:hover {
color:#000000; background-color:#E0DDE7;
}

Or, you can place COLOR afterward. It makes no difference.
.thid:hover {
background-color:#E0DDE7; color:#000000;
}

These methods can also be used to alter entire paragraphs, although this might be too tacky.
