I was trying to find a poem when I came across your request. I found this poem at an Indian Pow Wow years ago. It expressed my sentiments exactly and I had to have it, so I bought a print of it and put it away with instructions to my children to read it at my funeral. I'm SO SORRY you lost your son!! I can't imagine such a profound loss and my heart aches for you and your loss. I pray you're not angry @ God and I pray you have the peace that comes from knowing you WILL see him again, and be with him for all eternity. Here's the poem:

Don’t stand beside my grave and weep
For I’m not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamonds’ glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
I am the gentle, autumn’s rain.
When you waken in morning’s hush
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circle flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand by my grave and cry.
I am not there. I did NOT die!

God bless & keep you.

Sincerely,

Jan
