*Spreading out full length, she moans, beads of sweat darkening her satin coat, neck shining with perspiration. Breathing heavily, she winces as another spasm of pain wracks her body, shuddering with teeth clenched. Contractions growing, she pushes harder, the birth long and difficult. But finally, after seemingly forever, two tiny hooves protrude from her. Another forceful push, and the head and shoulders follow. The rest of the small body follows smoothly behind, the wet bundle squirming and wiggling itself free of the sac. Dropping her head, shining with sweat, she pants, eyes upon tiny foal who now is struggling to her feet, a greyish filly. Already up and wobbling, she immediately falls over, squeaking in protest. Her brush-bottle tail wags furiously, demanding food and attention. Music groans, exhausted, unwilling to rise. But she smiles quietly, eyes shining as she finds FoS�s own, and sighs gently as the filly wobbles unsteadily on her long, thin legs.*
