You guy, I'm sure, don't get the Chicago Sun-Times, but the newspaper talked about the Rev. Jesse Jackson's point-of-view. I agree with him.
From the newspaper--"Jackson also said the United States ought to apologize for what was and unintentional act and China should recognize the mid-air collision that led to the loss of a Chinese pilot was an accident. "I think our government should say,'If we have violated you in any way, it was not intentional and we apologize,'" he said. "getting Americans home is worth expressing an apology.""
There was also a column in the newspaper titled, "China not earning many gold medals." "If the servicemen and women are not freed, the United States should declare its opposition to China's bid for the 2008 Olympics. Beijing would do well to remember that it was the considerable U.S. influence in 1993 that nixed China as the site of the 2000 Olympics." I agree with both articles.
