*With a polite bow and smile to the Headwoman and the nearby cooks, T'yin grabs a platter and heaps it with meatrolls, fishrolls, a full bowl of meaty stew, a glass of klah, and half a loaf of bread. While the cooks look at the skinny rider in amazement, he maneuvers his plate back to a free table and sets it down. So what if they think I'm a glutton. I'm not bothering with manners, he thinks to himself rebelliously, and proceeds to wolf down his food, pausing for judicious sips of the spicy, rather strong klah. Once finished, T'yin's managed to clean his entire plate, and refills his cup of klah as he returns the dirty dishes to the cooks, who carefully decline to comment on his appetite, though the Headwoman looks pleased. Chugging this last mug of hot liquid, the rider returns this as well to be washed and heads out to see the Hatching, feeling far better than he had yesterday, or even a few hours ago.*
