Kalya walked over to where Wessae, Shrineth, and Doe were sitting. "So, I see that Shrineth and Doe demanded an oiling," she said wryly. "Layath's been asking for one, too, for a while now. I thought I'd give her an oiling. I grabbed some oil in a skin from the Perches."

Kalya emptied some of the oil onto Layath's hide, rubbing the oil into the young queen's skin, until Layath contentedly laid down, her head settled on Kalya's lap, and her eyes alighted with the turquoise and emerald color of pleasure.

Caer chirped in annoyance and flew around, sending Kalya erratic images of a blue flit itching. "Oh! I'm sorry, Caer. You must need one, too, eh?" Kalya turned sheepishly to Wessae. "Guess I used all mine up. I wasn't planning on Caer hatching so soon. Do you have any left?"
