During the Neolithic Revolution, people changed from being hunter-gatherers to agriculture. The change of the food supply let larger groups live together. They farmed barley and wheat, and also raised goats and sheep. They needed to farm in order to build their houses, which were made of reed and mud. The change to a food producing economy had enormous impact on the lives of humans. The advents of agriculture increased the food supply dramatically.
