Subject: Every competition where a panel of judges picks the winner (e.g., gymnastics, figure skating, and dog shows) is predicated by conditions set by either the organizers or sponsors . The judges have a set of guidelines (CRITERIA) on what to look for. Why should the selection of the Miss Universe be any different?

In reply to: KIS 's message, "Don't think for a second that preliminary judges are given carte blanche as to which delegate should make the cut. Surely, they are given briefs and criteria by MUO. Trump and co tell them what a Miss Universe should look like, then preliminary judges find the 15 delegates that best match that MUO brief." on 01:18:22 08/25/09 Tue
