Subject: Math is important!

Math is used everyday...some people may use it more than others in their jobs, but everyone needs to know some math. For example: if we go to a restaurant and we only brought $20.00, then we have to figure out what we can eat and include tax. We don't want the waiter or waitress to come back with a bill of thirty dollars and not have enough to cover it. No one wants to wash dishes. If you are a math teacher in a school then you will need to know a lot of mathematics, but if you are a secretary in a business, you won't need as much. I know that I use math everyday, even out of math class. I always get a lot of clothes magazines and I use addition to add up all the prices of what I want to get, and then I use multiplication to figure in tax. I am pretty good at it by now. I may get a little rusty at the Pythagorean Theorem over the summer or finding the area of a circle, but I use basic math, and so do all other people, even if they are not aware of it.
