Author: Formely B'fen, now L'geri
Subject: I'm*Here

B'fen took his blue, Lagerith to the Perches. All of the other buckets were taken, dragonlings eating from them.
Langerith?
Yes, B'fen?
Could, could we change my name? 'Cause I don't like the way B'fen sounds.
First food!

B'fen took the last bucket, with a thick blue stripe, and set it in front of his starving blue.
B'fen?
Yes, Langerith?
How does one chew?

B'fen demonstrated by taking a slightly stale meatroll from his belt, and chewing it.
Now you do it
Langerith took a mouthful, and began working his jaws up and down.
It was a good thing that the bodies of the dead beasts had been drained, B'fen reflected, or Langerith would be covered in blood.
Do I swallow now? The meat is soft.
Yes, Langerith.

The blue quickly swallowed, and took another mouthful.
This time, he finished it off more quickly.
About my name?
Why do you want to change it?
It sounds, not like me. I mean, I don't measure up to what people would think when they heard B'fen.
What do you want to be called?
L'geri.
That sounds like you!
I thought so.

L'geri patted the still damp eyeridges of ihs dragon's grey blue hide, and patted one massive paw.
The blue polished off the last of his food, and fluttered his damp wings. The powerful wings sent a small breeze, and he pulled himself up from his almost laying down position. His long limbs were like pillars, supporting him.
I itch! And I want to sleep.
Don't fret, Langerith. We'll find the Perches, I'll oil you, and then we can choose a weyr.
Okay, L'geri.

The blue whose hide was the color of the sea at night when you looked down from a dock, and the tall boy whose hair was the color of glowing embers walked towards the Perches, bucket forgotten.
Lamgerith and L'geri, formerly Langerith and B'fen, were Impressed now, and nothing could tear them apart. They were two halves of one whole.

I can find my candle, where is the light? A red sun took me into this darkness, a blue dragon brought me out.
