L’van made a face at Physaya’s teasing. “Thanks for your faith in me. I wish I felt the same way.”
But he grinned at her despite himself, and felt a sharp pang from Nagaina. He winced. “Shards! Sorry. Nagaina learned how to give me head-pains if I annoy her. Right now Mang, Bandar and Gidur are doing everything within their power to stop her getting to you.” His eyes widened as Nagaina sent him a delightful image of her ripping Physaya’s eyes out. “Faranth’s egg! I’d watch out f you ever see her! She never learned to share…”
L’van, shall I teach them alone?
The bluerider swatted his dragon, and sighed. “Alright. You need ten pieces of firestone…” He grabbed an armful and offered them to her. “And they have to be a good size.” He demonstrated breaking the stone against the wall. “And then you feed them to Shalth and tell her to think of her second stomach.”
Unbeknownst to him, Arrth gave Shalth a far more detailed explanation, and made sure she knew what she was doing. You couldn’t rely on L’van to talk well if her was under pressure.
Will you try?
