He outranked this odd blue, who seemed too sensitive that he had lost his flight. But W�ntyr laid a hand on his flank, and looked at Myth seriously.

�What makes you think we come to trouble your rider? Does she think the Weyr is so bad that a rider would rather come to taunt than to offer words of comfort?� He asked, and Garneth lowered his head slightly.

W�ntyr, this is too strange. A flight cannot do this to a weyrpair.

�True. We should know!� Garneth did not win all that many flights, and the pair were used to loosing them. It was inconceivable to sit moping and crying over merely loosing a flight�

Do you know how much you sound like your mother? Garneth asked, and W�ntyr swatted him.

This time the man appealed to the rider. �Look, Maria, I know how it is to loose a flight. We loose more than we win. And I know that Grenith isn�t vindictive � I should, she�s the dragon of my best friend. But that doesn�t make me biased. C�mon, Maria, what�s wrong? Just loosing a flight doesn�t cut a person up like this!�
