I have only heard about instances of abuse afterwards, a few individual stories and things that made national news like the Sovereign Grace Ministries scandal.

People tell stories, and a few girls have shared experiences with me long after the fact. One girl was frequently raped by a cousin who helped homeschool her. One former homeschooler I tutored and occasionally spanked when she was 15-17 grew up thinking giving a blow job was a normal part of being spanked, from age 5 until she was 13 and her mom found out about it. Girls have also been coerced into doing sexual things for men in order to avoid being spanked.

Even if both parties are over eighteen, it is still considered abuse when a teacher has sex with a student, or when a doctor or psychiatrist has sex with a patient. This is the same thing, magnified when the girls are young.

No man entrusted with spanking rights over a girl or the authority to remove her clothing should ever behave sexually toward her.
