She growled to herself, and her eyes reddened with each step. She wasn't glad to see him, and in fact, for many months she had been alone. In solitude, and she was hungry for food and for attention. She listened with the wisdom of an Alpha female that could never be lost, but her heat was aching for something. She looked at him with angry hateful eyes, but the hate was not directed at him, that was quite clear. She had been abandoned again, and the thought of that burned inside of her like a flame.

"What makes you think that I, an old wolf, would be of any help?"

She looked at him, and her red eyes calmed, and they became bluer, but wetter. She wasn't the tough Alpha anymore. She was an emotional wreck. She was crying yet again.

"My pack has left me, and I am alone. I am the one in need of assistance."

She looked at him again before turning around and walking into the darkness, her head dropping, and her heart giving up hope.
