My mom spanked my bare bottom no matter who was present at home or a relative's house. In public, she would only do it in closed bathroom stall.

I was never spanked unjustly, and I think my most embarrassing spanking occurred at age 11. We had been enjoying a short winter break form the cold at a nice hotel on the beach in Miami while my dad had a business trip there.

One afternoon, mom warned me once that I swimming too far out in the water and to stay closer to the shore where she could keep an eye on me. Not intentionally on my part, I drifted out again and mom walked to the water line and yelled for me to come in.

She told me to help her grab our belongings as we were going back to our room. I knew I was in for it and decided it was not in my interests to get mom further upset.

We got to our room as the hotel maid, a young woman perhaps in her mid 20s, was cleaning it and upon seeing us enter, offered to come back later. Mom told her to continue on, closed the door and explained that she was going to spank me relating the incident at the beach.

The maid, Lydia (I clearly remember her name tag) chuckled and told my mom it was not the first time a boy had been spanked for the very same reason. Mom then yanked my swim trunks off and I was mortified to be standing naked in full view of the maid, but did not have much time to think about it as mom hauled me over her lap and blistered my bare bottom with her hairbrush. Besides being spanked in front of her, I think the worst part was I could not refrain from crying and felt like a baby as she witnessed the whole episode.
