Subject: Price, price, price... a dress won't sell anywhere if your price is too much. Can we all agree that a dress more than 5 years old is only worth $200 or less? heard someone complaining about how hard it was selling their dress and when I looked it was an old style 3 panel dress and they were asking $700! It will never, ever sell at that price.

  • I have sold all of my dd's dresses, but I begin the pricing to half of what I paid for it, and have been willing to discount it further. Better sold for 40% of what I paid that storing it and collecting dust. (NT) -- successful seller, 05:21:59 09/18/17 Mon
  • Agreed - I start somewhere between 1/3 and 40% off full price and work down from there, 1/3 more off for each year (if it's a year or less old, 1/3 to 40% off, 1 yr to 2 yrs old, take off another 1/3 from the first selling price, etc.) -- Mom of OC, 09:25:53 09/18/17 Mon
  • Agree. You don't need to get ripped off but selling a used dress for $2700 is ridiculous. (NT) -- I price at 2/3 of original after 1 year, 11:46:04 10/05/17 Thu
