If they have contacted the moderator or maybe know the moderator and the moderator has done a search of your IP address and found a previous post that you have either put your name to or said something else that might have identified you, such as mentioning your school, posting a congrats message and signing your name, mentioning something specific about your child, for example "my dd dances u11 and just broke her arm..." it could be anything and may have also just been a lucky guess.

There is no way for the board to be taken over by someone else as they would need my admin password to do it.
