Subject: Ok, let's get some perspective here. Your $20k number fails to take into account the money you get back from resale. Anyone gettimg a dress a year, as I assume this dancer being discussed has, is reselling a nearly new dress every year which assists in paying for the next. g

I was thinking wow, puts it into perspective how rich Gavin must be, approx 20K just from one family, he must be a multi millionaire by now! Good luck to him though, wish I had that talent! Love his dresses, have contributed to his bank balance several times! :)" on 22:32:20 09/23/18 Sun

For example, in our situation, the first time we got a dress made, my dd wore the hell out of it and we resold for approximately 30% of original price. After that the lightbulb went off and we made an effort to resell dresses within the year and 1/2 mark because that is where your highest resale is going to be. Every dress after that first dress has been resold for within 2/4 to 3/4 of original cost - and resold quickly too (longest we ever had a dress for sale was 2 weeks.) So it is likely that at most this family is spending maybe $700-800 on every dress because the rest of the cash is coming from the prior dress. There is no benefit to keeping a dress in the closet.
