Subject: Interesting to hear that view from a senior dancer. Can I ask is it a confidence thing/not wanting to be different from the crowd or would you feel discriminated against by adjudicators if you went without wig and a less blingey dress? Do you think the wig and bling enhances your score? Hope you don’t mind me asking.
In reply to: Dancer 's message, "I would ban the blingy dresses and wigs! Hate the weight of wearing a dress and the time spent doing the wig." on 09:50:06 10/31/18 Wed

Younger dancers tend to fall in love with all the bling and mothers for the most part seem to go along with it. I’d love to hear your opinion as it sounds like you are old enough to decide for yourself. Do you think the tide will ever turn and it will become acceptable if a dancer wishes to compete with natural hair and a less blingey dress? Or do you think fear of lower marks will prevent dancers from toning down “the look”
