 I hope you get you wish Lyn. It does work very well.
In the 1980s I was in the same situation but my husband had not the qualms yours seems to have and so when I requested that I introduce some humiliation into punishments for his son then he accepted readily.
Maybe because it was different times and corporal punishment was more common then.
