I have had the same thing happen. The telephones always shrieked and went bonkers. Sometimes you could hear what sounded like something from the Poltergist movie.
My mom could hear it. Feaked me out.
Then most every thing I get around that is electical, stops working or the batteries go dead ..even though they are knew. On the air force base in Germany...Rhein-main a voice started talking in our house and it was similar to being over a loud speaker. It was saying what we felt were flying coordinates. We assumed ar TV was tapping into the transmission between tower/pilots.
It was extremly loud. We did go around asking neighbors if they heard it and nobody did.
Just another strange thing ...to wonder about.
