Good question. Mine are required to bend over both my thighs but their center of gravity is on my left leg (as I'm right-handed). The reason is when they start bucking and kicking I can then pin their legs with my right thigh which effectively jackknifes their bottom farther upward. It also insures that any kinetic momentum is directed forward (meaning if they are going to fall they will fall on their head, which is obviously inadvisable). I sound like a physics professor. lol. But once again an intriguing topic.
