I'm liking all the flowers timing and going barefoot comparisons so for me it would be when we see the first daffodils then it's time to be going barefoot full time. I'm not strict by the calendar and my kids probably won't be full time barefoot until towards the end of April but I have read accounts where in the old days mothers especially for their boys were strictly insisted on bare feet by the calendar the only benefit I can see is that it gives some time to build back up the leather like soles.
