It is indeed insightful to understand others in their connectivity to a work. I have a sibling who does not emote but uses music to express his feelings and I’m comforted to know his expressions are being understood somehow. Though he can’t articulate that. The unspoken stuff that speaks universally.
These pandemic times have been a time of reflection for many who may have never stopped to reflect before. I don’t have the artistic bones to say something grand about it all but I’ve begun snail mail letter writing again and it’s been wonderful, cathartic and redeeming to read deep, clear, thoughtful, communicative responses from old friends and family. And feeling so content to have received them. To the end of the day, I think people find great relief once an anxiety is understood.
