Subject: I remember quite vividly what Prosper said on his recruiting trip

when he saw a game at the Pepsi...............not sure of the exact opponent, but Siena had lost the game (this was Hewitt's 1st year in which the team finished at 17-12), and Propser was amazed at the how many people attended the game as well as the passion they exuded towards the team..........he noticed some frustration from the fans during the game and remarked that this crowd could be tough when things are not going well.............but on the other hand, with a vested interest from a large fan base, it far out-weights any negative response, as it basically shows how much these fans care about the team.........wanting them to be successful. He added that having that kind of support behind a team, gives him the feeling of playing in a big time atmosphere at a place where hoops is the main focus!

I guess it depends on the kid coming for the visit, Siena has something that no other MAAC team has with regards to a combination of a large fan base & excellent facility...........it is an advantage that the coaching staff uses.............once the kid gets to see a Siena home game first hand, they are usually amazed by the crowd & facility.............it's a win win situation in most cases!!!!!!!!
