This all makes me want to sit down and really read Title IX cover-to-cover as well as review/consider the recent NCAA changes. Title IX was, presumably, someone's notion of forcing equity on a world where more males take sports to be a serious part of life than females. But why is it that the largest number of casualties seem to be programs at "mid-major" schools?

What I feel on the surface is that the "mid-major" programs are better off getting away from the games that the big cats like to play.

Sometimes I wonder if I'll even enjoy following all this stuff in four or five years. Just too many agendas and stakes to consider for something that is supposed to be, at its intended core, just an extension of the collegiate environment.
