I don't think it's fair to equate anything Canisius-related with anything Loyola-related. Geez, the Griffs are a game under .500 and can EASILY get things going and end up above .500 in the league.

If you wanted to keep Mallory off the first time, fine. But Dux is BY FAR the best PG in the league. It's not even close. The kid HAS to be first team.

If we're going to equate first team players with winning records, then shouldn't the first team be loaded with guys from Manhattan and Fairfield, since both will likely have a comfortable lead on everyone else at season's end? No, of course not.

Also, I saw a couple of people have Haddix on second team. If you're going to do that, then you might need to replace him with Steve Smith. The two have virtually identical numbers in terms of points and rebounds per game, but Smith shoots a lot better from the field.

Lastly, I disagree with EVERYONE regarding Clark not being first team. I don't have the data, but can someone show me some evidence where a 20 ppg scorer did NOT make first team All-MAAC? I can't remember any, but I could be wrong on that.

My choices:

First team:
Flores
Mendez
Prosper
Dux
Gai
Clark (since the MAAC chooses 6)

Second team:
Mallory
Eppeheimer
Jerry Johnson
Fields
Holmes

Third team:
Smith
Haddix
Darden
Reaves
Lucious Jordan

Rookie:
Clark
Haddix
Todd
McCullough
Either Soliver or Maxwell
