If I was a Fordham fan,i'd be calling for his head too. We got rid of Beyer after only three years. But we're a different story. Siena is not used to losing and had no patience to wait for Beyer to get it together. Fordham hasn't been competive in basketball since they left the MAAC, so losing has become a habit for them and they are more patient and tolerant. Additionally, it was cost effective for Siena to do it as they only had to buy out one year. It will cost Fordham well into 7 figures to buy out Hill. It ain't gonna happen. Even a "major national university" like Fordham doesn't have the resources for that unless it's got BCS conference football revenue to work with.

It's funny. On their board someone stated they are of the same stature of the Dukes and UCLAs of the world. They have really lost all sense of reality over there. A true major university wouldn't bat an eye at throwing a couple of million bucks at someone to make them go away. It also wouldn't have inferior athletic facilities to teeny tiny regional Siena College.

Hill ain't going anywhere unless it's on his terms. If Hill has got six years on that contract, I guarantee he'll be there for at least four of them before the school makes a move. He knows it and he knows Fordham knows it. That's why he talks so much trash in the papers. If I knew my supervising partner at my law firm couldn't fire me for 6 years without paying my salary for all of them, I'd tell her to f**k off on a daily basis.
