Subject: He shot 33% last year ...
In reply to: Siena ARCatech 's message, "have you seen him shoot it from there?" on 16:01:23 01/20/03 Mon

after starting the season much like he started this one. I am not saying he should be a sniper, but the Saints could use a big man who can shoot the ball some. I agree he has to be wide open to shoot it, but he has to be willing to shoot it if they are giving him that shot. I am also not saying he should stay outside all night long, but he needs to mix it up some. Last year, Gai blocked one of Prosper's shots on the baseline (I think he was actually trying to dunk it). After that block, Prosper went into his funk for a couple of games that culminated in him not playing against Marist. I'm not saying that one block was what did it, but it sure stood out to me. A lot of Siena's offense this year is predicated on the Saints getting to the rim, and either finishing or passing out to open shots. Gai and Deng can take that away, Saints need to mix it up and try to get Gai away from the basket where he is not as comfortable.

Arc, to be perfectly honest, I have never understood your vehemence about Justin's shooting, Buhrman shoots 19% for the year and you dont say much about that. I dont care if he misses horribly 67% of the time, if he hits one in 3, he should shoot it if it's there!!!!

Just my opinion.
