I was raised with spankings like most people on this forum.
Lately I read a lot about maintenance spankings, a regular spanking to prevent punishments.
In my life a spanking was given if I crossed the line or disobeyed my mom.
It was punishment and It was very clear.
I hatet getting a spanking because it hurts a lot and it was ment that way, I feared a spanking and did my best to avoid it.
In my later teens spankings became less because you learned from your mistakes.

So being sentenced to a spanking made a big impression.
For what I read is a maintenance so regulair and without a reason.

Can anyone explained me why you would do that ?

Children/teens will still make mistakes and are stubborn from time to time no matter what.
Punishment are always needed, and I think that’s okay.
