I appreciate your offer, but I am one that does not believe in Maintenance spankings. I cannot see spanking a child for no reason. I spank when they disobey, and I try to do it on the spot. I have no problem taking them to a family or public restroom and spanking their bare bottoms. Last Saturday I took my teenage son to the family restroom and hand spanked his bare bottom for his attitude and he got another spanking with the paddle at home. All three kids average around 3 to 4 spankings a month.

Please excuse the spelling. I use a dictator and that's just the way it comes out.

I was going to say that the beauty of maintenance is that you don't have to look on it as a spanking. That really just acts as a warm up for the wonderful bonding and cuddling that follows. Like I said it is not a punishment I would definitely not. What you described it sounds like it might be ideal for you and the kids.

And one big pity of it is that you no longer have to go find a family bathroom or something to spank. I know it's hard to believe but with maintenance that pretty much disappears, you can check with any of the parents involved. You need to get the idea of maintenance is being warrantless spanks out of your head.

Please don't look on it as a spanking. I would suggest you try it for at least a couple of weeks this summer and I think you'll be amazed at the results.

Hi there Kathy!

Great questions!

To answer your first question, the way people have handled it is they've stopped spanking on the spot but the kids are well aware that when maintenance comes around that's what the second half of spanking is for. That is best done with the paddle, and the lexan is the best way to go since it doesn't leave marks and helps the skin heal as quickly as that day. It should be a soft spanking on the first 20, followed by a medium hard spanking if they've earned any strokes after that. So the answer is no, you don't spank on the spot and you don't spank nearly as severely as you would regularly. They get the idea.

For your third question, the first 20 is done with the hand and the second one to 10 is done with a paddle. Like I said preferably lexan. Readily available through Google.

I hope that answers your questions. I think you have to go through a couple of weeks before you realize that the formula is kicking in and you won't have to do on the spot spanking.

Are you another UK parent, or are you here in the US? I would love to get some more us people just because it's easier to communicate, LOL!
