Alright we went to the Blue Hole. When we got there I was so not impressed. It's a Hole with cold, clear water in it! Yay! We continued to walk passed the hole and came to the washed out bridge. A little ways down we found a spot where we could walk across the stream. We walked across and there were fresh human tracks (bare and shoed), but nothing else. We walked for about 15 minutes found nothing impressive and were running out of daylight so we turned around. When we got back to the stream there were fresh hoof prints that had not been there minutes before. After looking at the hoof prints we realized that whatever made the tracks was walking upright on 2 legs not on 4 like a deer would. That caught my husbands curiosity (and frankly just freaked me out) so he started following them. On the track back to where we had to cross the stream there was part of a carcus of what we believe to be a deer (we took photos of everything but will need to develop them). The odd part of the carcus is that it was the rib cage, half the sternum (which had been cut), and the spine. The vertebrae on the spine were still connected (you could see the spinal cord) and the ribs were still all connected but the muscle, fascia, all the surrounding tissues (tendons, ligaments, ect.) were gone. There were still muscle fibers on the ribs, but that was it. Whatever "ate" this thing was very neat and very clean about not destroying the ribs and spine. Very, very spooky that it all just appeared in 15 mintues. It's not somewhere I'd go again. Creepy!
